TIPS, short for Tech Incubator Program for Startups, is a private-investment-led model: a startup must first be backed by an accredited investor, which then recommends it for government funding. DeepSales was recommended by Kingsley Ventures, its early-stage investor. ## The problem: selling across borders without a sales team The problem DeepSales is going after is a familiar one for small exporters. Hiring salespeople who speak the language of a target market is expensive and slow. Figuring out which foreign buyers to contact can take months. And even when a company does reach out, turning a cold email into a meeting takes weeks of persistent follow-up that most small teams simply can't sustain. ## Multiple AI agents, one sales process DeepSales' answer is to hand that work to AI agents, software that can pursue a goal and make decisions on its own rather than waiting for step-by-step instructions. Under the new project, the company is building a system in which multiple agents split the job: one identifies buyers that fit a customer's product, another drafts outreach tailored to each buyer's language and context, and a third manages replies and schedules meetings. The idea is for the agents to carry a sales process that can stretch over several weeks without dropping the thread. ## The harder part: trust The harder part, and the one DeepSales says it is focusing on, is trust. Generative AI is known to make things up, and in outbound sales a single email with a wrong company detail can damage a brand before a relationship even starts. DeepSales is developing a verification layer that checks what its agents write against real company data before anything goes out, and filters claims it can't back up. The agents are also designed to learn from how buyers respond and improve their outreach over time. The work builds on Selly, DeepSales' existing AI sales agent, which automates buyer discovery, multilingual outreach, follow-ups and meeting scheduling. The company says its edge is data: it has built coverage of Asian companies that global sales data platforms tend to underserve, which lets it support expansion across both Asia and North America. AI sales agents have become one of the more crowded corners of the agent market, with U.S. startups raising sizable rounds to automate sales development. DeepSales is betting on a narrower wedge: companies that need to sell across borders and languages, and that can't afford to have an AI agent get the facts wrong. "For an AI agent to take over overseas sales, companies have to be able to trust what that agent is sending," said Sangwook Kim, tech lead at DeepSales. "With Deep Tech TIPS, we want to build agents that only put accurate information in front of buyers and get better on their own, so more companies can actually open up overseas markets." Yeonwoo Hwang, an investment manager at Kingsley Ventures, said the firm has watched DeepSales move from buyer data toward sales automation since its first investment. "Plenty of small companies want to go global but don't have the sales team to do it," Hwang said. "We think DeepSales can give them a practical way in."
